It is time for travel update...now is the update on Prague! My first trip planned totally by myself! So proud of myself! I plan the accomodation, transport, itinerary..etc... every single things r planned by me! I have no sense of direction...so i am quite proud of myself that i can lead my friends without getting lost...even though Prague is easy to walk about!
Prague trip serves as a foundation for me...I am more independent now, and I am not soo afraid to be alone in a foreign country now..I feel more secured, even dare to walk around and travel around myself in another place without company!
After a close to 8 hours of train and bus ride..we have finally reached Prague! This is my first trip without any of my NUS friends...We are a group of 7 (2 singaporeans ~ we don't know each other in sg, 2 taiwanese gals, 1 french guy, 1 jap guy and 1 china guy)! My first trip with foreign friends! I am really close with them despite that we know each other only for a short period of time....
By the time we reach Prague, it is already at night! So we just check in to our hotel ~ 2 stars..haha but really cheap..11 euros per night including buffet breakfast!
okie..i am hungry..haha..shall update my blog after my dinner ~ gg to cook eggs now!

Really really really....ROAR!!! my tolerance is unusually LOW today!....and then someone still can throw temper at me when it is not even my fault?!

Sad & Unlucky Day

Today is a really SAD day! I was supposed to have a class outside my campus at 8:30am..I traveled all the way there, figure out the way to get there..and when I reach! there isn't a single soul! I don't know what is happening...next, my bottle cap loosen and all the water spill out! all my papers are wet...then next the train is stuck..then okie me and wl decided to have jap buffet to cheer our HUNGRY stomach..then i saw that the buffet ends at 2:30 n I check my watch and saw that we miss the time slightly! aRGH..the worse is I read my watch timing wrongly!!!! It is only 1 plus!!
Arghh..nothing is gg smooth for me! I am really worried that I am unable to graduate on time if there isn't any suitable modules that I can take in Stuttgart! All the lesson r so weird...how...School already started but I haven even attend a single class! I am feeling so lost and confused..I really hope everything will turn out fine... I hope all the modules that I am supposed to take, I will be able to take it and smoothly complete it!...Haiz....
There r so many things on my mind....I gt no food..my friends r suddenly not cooking anymore..the guys r eating at their own place...wl is eating her bread...suddenly I feel soo lonely....
In the past, we used to meet every single day..now...hmmm..and I don have a routine to stick to..everyday is soo different for me..I don noe what is going on everyday.. ARGHH..

Amsterdam - Cheese Factory & Windmill

We went to a cheese and clog shoes making factory! A small countryside place....
The cow is trying 2 stick its tongue OUT! to lick us...ewww...

Last day in Amsterdam...will reach in Stuttgart on Monday morning..n I will go to class straight for german LESSON!...soo hectic..

I simply love market! haha..went to a floating market in the morning..and bought lots of stuff! I bought a pair of clog shoes key chain, typical of Amsterdam, for u, Laoda! It is yellow colour some more! I bought a same one for myself too! =) I hope u like it!

I bought a packet of Stroop Waffles for SIKE & NIU! This is only available in Amsterdam and Prague! It is really delicious!...& precious! Yum Yum...
Some pics of the city n the floating market....it is literally floating..cause it is on the water..but nothing amazing though..haha..shopping is gd! I love the cheese there, I just keep eating n eating n eating their sample..totally display "Singaporean characteristic"! hahaha.. If laoda is here..i guess all the cheese will be dabao back even! hahaha... =)

My favourite day of the trip! I am going to visit the legendary TULIPS in Amsterdam! It is expensive but worth it..i guess..just nice I am able to go keukenhof garden...in case u pple don noe..it is only open between early march and early may only!
I guess all girls LOVE flowers! despite the tiring overnight 12 hours horrible bus ride, lack of sleep syndromes, extreme cold weather..... I enjoy the day! =)
The flowers are just sooo pretty! It is just a pity that my camera battery died!
If otd u ever saw this post...haha..u should gg there with ur bf! It suit u both! =)

Amsterdam Trip - overview of the city

I went Amsterdam (Netherlands) during this hectic weekend! I really love the place despite it RED LIGHT district! Joined a day tour and realized that the oldest prostitute around is 82 years old! OMG! I seriously cannot imagine!
okie...some info about the city culture n history...
It is really ironical that just right besides the red light district are churches! n people can repent in ADVANCE! tt means to say that u noe u r gg 2 sin this weekend and u just gg to the church BESIDE the red light district to repent and confess before the weekend! the churches r built right beside the red light district to facilitate such conveniences!...hahaha...when I heard of it..I seriously don't know what to say...
Prostitutes pay taxes!! In Amsterdam, as long as there r money to be made, any profession, any dealings are OK..as long as it is done discreetly! That the local political attitude..tt why drugs and prostitution are allowed...
No pic of Red Light District! becoz tt is forbidden! U will suffer a terrible fate if the prostitutes saw people taking pics of them! Terrible fate: pour acid on you, punch and beat the hell out of you!
These prostitutes will basically stand n pose sexily in front of a transparent glass door, trying to entice passer-bys..n there r many glass doors beside each other..haha..so from far, it looks to me there r many mannequins in human life form posing..people called it fish ~ bowl..it is actually a very very nice looking view from far..but too bad I cannot take pictures so cannot share with u! Next on...DRUGS!
Drugs are normally sold in places named "Coffeeshop"....the coffeeshops' names are discreetly hinting that drugs are available!
This pic shows an example of a typical coffeeshop selling drugs! It is not obvious at all right?!
Amsterdam allowed drugs and prostitution BUT it is illegal to drink alcohol on the streets of Amsterdam!...what logic? We were approached by 2 policemen telling my friends that they are not allowed 2 drink beer on the streets!
There is a chinatown street in Amsterdam citycentre! Hahaha...there are temples n many different chinese cuisines..dim sum, roast duck, chinese food,...etc...feel a sense of familiarity when I walked down this street! But the food r all soo expensive!
Next...showing u all the nice pics of Amsterdam rivers, canal, architectures and building.. the place is really beautiful
The night view is even more magnificent! But sadly..my camera cannot capture nice night pics..those nice ones r with my Jap friend! Wil get from him and post them up soon!

Gd Buddy!

Went 2 my buddy place 2 take pic! He is really a nice guy though he smokes...haha he help me and my friend alot and wil sent email 2 us regularly 2 update us on certain things, issues and events! Really great 2 be able 2 noe him and tt he is my buddy! =)
In this aspect, I feel tt I'm blessed..we went for authentic german food in a german restaurant! Very nice deco and feel...the ambience is really gd...and pork ribs r free flow! haha...
oh ya..on the 31march...we went 2 a restaurant tt hav a special promotion on donnerstag (thursday)...we only need 2 order a bier..and we can have free flow of food at the buffet corner! Wow Wow..very gd deal! haha..but the food r all unhealthy stuff..so i did not eat much also..haha..
this is weird..germany sometimes will hav this kind of special deal here n there...i pay for only a bier and I can have free flow of western food..like onion rings, fried mushroom, burgers, pasta, salads, soup, sauces, chicken wings, pork ribs..etc..
Well the promo end..let see what next!

Today in class, I met a turkish girl (she is a master student)..she jus came 2 my class and told a french guy "What happen last night? I woke up naked this morning..what happen?" she does not even speak discreetly...I can hear it soo clearly! Next the French guy reply, " We wash u up last night", and the girl replied "thank you soo much"...haha..komisch (funny) isn't it?
Later, the gal even said, she don't even know who she had with the FIRST TIME..she is sooo drunk during parties as always..! She even seems proud of it...at least tt what my friend in her class said though...
Partying is really the culture in germany! I seriously don have much liking for it though...drinking and drinking and just drinking...hmmm...any festival or whatever..it is stil just drinking and drinking...
Bier (beer) is the culture here in Germany...not only stuttgart.. I guess...esp weekends....everywhr totally went havoc! train station r sooo dirty with all the puke up stuff etc...so many young pple out thr smoking and drinking and partying...it is just like the entire city becomes a large huge party... it really a drastic change from weekdays...
The moment i step out of my dorm..i will enter into a party..loud music, beer, pple singing dancing, cheering..doing all sorts of things!
Normally weekend i wil be out travelling n the last week of march I stayed in my room..and these r wat I have seen and experience!
If i don't party and drink..I am the abnormal person...the rest r normal...
so sometimes i wil try 2 fit into the culture..but rest assured! I will noe my limit...i drank only one really max 2 bottle of beer!
So proud of myself! wil nvr let myself gg astray..haha wil strike a balance between fitting in and never let myself gg astray... =0

Arghhh...studentenwerk (in charge of rental) deducted 835euros from my bank acct!!! arghh..for nothing..now I have to gg and figure out how to settle the situation! Everything is closed, the person in charge is on leave..i will b gg amsterdam soon..I really hope I can settle all my things b4 I gg amsterdam...I really dislike this system here..they just deduct money from my bank acct as and when they like...and for no reason at all!
Next, i need to deposit money into my CREDIT CARD! crazy! Cant they just deduct money from my acct? Why do i need 2 deposit money into it?? Everything is not gg fine for me..why do i have 2 deal with all these prob?

Personal Thoughts 2

Life is gd in Stuttgart....however i feel something is missing or lacking...sense of lost i guess..i don noe what is happening in sg...i realize i cannot stay alone for too long...i must be either studying or be with my friends all the time..otherwise i start thinking alot...
My friends r gd n really nice pple...hmmm...but i still do not dare 2 impose on them..sometimes I cannot just say what i like or if I have problems..i don really wan 2 disturb them or impose them with my problems.. One of my friends is thinking of driving to Amsterdam...I am the only the one that cannot drive..hmmm i feel bad that i cannot drive...I realize that I don really wan 2 owe them anything...tt y i don noe whether i shld gg anot...because i cannot contribute anything to the trip..i just hitched onto the ride without contributing anything...i feel bad abt it...haiz...
Today...internet is not working in the morning..nothing seems to b gg well today...i went 2 WL place to use internet..i feel bad abt it too..hmmm i feel tt i hav 2 impose on her...not sure whether she likes it anot..mayb she does not wan me 2 be at her place in her absence..but she don noe hw 2 reject me tt y...i feel soo thick skinned!....haiz stil gt test 2 study..arghhh!
But stil I shld not complain cause worse things can happen...keep a peaceful mind..life is gd here what more can I ask for..I shouldn't be complaining and hw can everything b perfect rite...?
