First trip to Köln (a city in germany outside Stuttgart). Took a cheapest train with more than 5 transfer (6 hrs) to Köln. There r always mishap as usual! We alighted one stop earlier during one of our transfer and by the time we reach Köln, it is already close to 5pm!
There is a carnival at Köln! People of all ages, old and young are all dressed up in various funny costume! Take a look at the pics!
Next we went to look at the famous dome in Köln. I it really pretty... it gives a mystical and ancient feeling, however it is under construction..
Next we had a subway sandwich for dinner.. and we continue to roam around the streets in COLD!We are staying overnight in Köln. BUt we have not look for accomodation..very adventurous rite? We thought we will be staying in wl's german friend (Vicktor) house but apparently, Vic had some misinterpretation! He is accompanying us tgt with his german friends staying overnight by partying!
We went to a pub first! The music is nice BUT it is soo crowded tt i fell down BUT there r soo many pple trying 2 help me up! I saw millions of hand extending towards me! haha I am sort of being pushed up!...there is no place to sit...people dressed in various weird costumes are dancing around and drinking....I had a small glass of beer..
We met alot of curious stares prob becoz we r ASIANS! They kept asking Vic where we r from...
One of Vic german friend who is already a dad of 2 gt hooked up with another girl in the pub! At first they started chatting, then they started hugging then they started kissing!! OMG! I witnessed the entire process coz it was sooo crowded and they r just rite in front or sometimes beside me with less then a cm apart! I was embarrassed (of crs!),I tried to look elsewhere..haha
Somewhere in the later part of the night, both of them disappear into the back...leaving thoughts in my mind..hmmm..haha
Me and my friends decided to go out of the pub and get a seat despite the cold. We all ate sandwich with sausage to warm ourselves up!
Next, Vic brings us to this junkyard party!..on our way to the party, he n his friend relieve themselves on the park?? I don't really know what tt called..haha..erm...tt funny..cultural shock i guess..
The entry fee for the party is 13euros! The party is horrible! People r very NICE and polite but there r drugs and many smokers!!...It is really hard core disco/clubs....I dont like techno music..the air is suffocating with nicotine! I need to gg out for fresh air BUT outside is sooo cold!
I am really tired (abt 3plus in the morning).. a funny thought came into my mind! We will look real FUNNY if we gg and dance with our backpack! haha..we look like kids going for excursions in a disco or clubs with our backpack and guai guai look!
In the end we decided to take a cab to the train station and camp there till morning 9:18am for our train! I was really tired..it was sooo cold and there r no place for us to rest and sleep....the cold is something that i cannot stand..being tired is alright...but the cold...arghhh
Finally we managed to endure til morning and get the 3 hrs train back to Stuttgart! We all slept...
When I reached home....I collapsed onto my bed..
What an experience!
